Fall 2009 Referendum Results

The ballots have been tallied for the Fall 2009 AFA Faculty Referendum. The final counts for each initiative are below in the right columns. You can view the original referendum document that explains the consequences of the result for each initiative by clicking the link (for example, “A1”) to the left of the initiative.

Initiatives for Adjunct Faculty:
     

If regular faculty members take a 1% reduction to the annual salary schedule to provide ongoing funding for the Adjunct Medical Benefits Program, then hourly faculty salaries should be reduced by 1%. This 1% reduction would be over and above the current 0.565% reduction.

Regular faculty members’ annual salaries (choose one):

     A.  Should be reduced by no more than 2.5% to offset State funding reductions
         to the hourly schedules (adjunct and overload). This 2.5% reduction would be
         over and above the current 0.565% reduction.

     B.  Should be reduced by no more than 0.565% (one additional furlough day in
         2009-10) to offset State funding reductions to the hourly schedules (adjunct
         and overload). This 0.565% reduction would be over and above the current
         0.565% reduction.

     C.  Should not be reduced by more than the current 0.565% reduction.
